Certified Nursing Assistant - CNA

Visiting Angels’ office in Athens is seeking Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to provide compassionate care to senior adults and those in need in the local community, including Eatonton, Madison, Greensboro, Stephens, Athens, and surrounding areas. This role is ideal for individuals committed to making a meaningful difference by becoming a companion to someone in need.

A CNA with Visiting Angels Athens supports seniors with a wide range of responsibilities, from light housekeeping and meal preparation to mobility assistance and transportation. The role also offers opportunities for personal and professional growth, including advanced training in dementia and Alzheimer’s care.

Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (e.g., doctor’s appointments, walks)
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
• Help clients with routine exercises
• Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients (when they are able)
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion
• Report any unusual incidents
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

Requirements
