Certified Nursing Assistant - CNA

About the role

Deliver solutions that matter by providing compassionate and comprehensive care to residents at St. Joseph's Living Center.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding, while promoting dignity and independence.
• Monitor and record vital signs, intake/output, and observe and report changes in residents' physical or mental condition to the nursing staff promptly.
• Provide basic patient care under the direction of licensed nurses, including repositioning, transferring, and assisting with mobility to prevent falls and pressure injuries.
• Support residents' quality of life by fostering a positive, respectful environment and encouraging engagement in meaningful daily activities.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment by following infection control protocols, responding to call lights, and ensuring residents' comfort and safety throughout the shift.

Requirements

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing with the CT state registry.
• Ability to communicate fluently in English – both verbally and written.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a healthcare setting preferred.

Skills

• Strong communication skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Pay

$21.00 - $24.50/hour, based on experience.

Schedule

Full-Time | Part-Time | PRN

Shift Differentials

• $2.00/HR - evenings and overnights.
• $1.00/HR - All weekend shifts.
