About the role
Join our team as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and be the heart of our nursing home. This role offers growth opportunities and the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents.
Responsibilities
- Perform direct resident care duties under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel.
- Promote a compassionate physical and psychosocial environment for residents in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
- Provide activities of daily living (ADLs) within the scope of practice as defined by state regulation and the resident’s plan of care.
- Change bed linen and maintain appropriate grooming supplies in resident rooms regularly.
- Ambulate and transfer residents using appropriate assistive devices and body mechanics.
- Record resident vital signs, weights, measurements, intake and output, food consumption, and other assigned information.
- Routinely turn and position residents as necessary.
- Recognize and support resident rights and choices within the care environment.
- Maintain established housekeeping standards within assigned duty areas.
- Promptly answer call lights and assist with resident needs.
- Assist in the orientation and training of other staff as requested.
- Complete other special projects and duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Current, active Nursing Assistant certification from the state in which the facility operates.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a nursing team and under the direction of licensed nursing staff.
- Customer service-oriented with the ability to work well under pressure.
- Approachable, flexible, and adaptable to change.
- Ability to function independently, with personal integrity, and work effectively with stakeholders and vendors.
Schedule
Full-time night shifts: 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week, with rotating weekends.
Pay
Up to USD $18.62 per hour, with shift differentials and weekend-enhanced hourly rates.
