Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Job Summary
As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you’ll provide hands-on care and daily support to seniors in both home and center settings. You’ll help Participants maintain their independence, comfort, dignity, and safety through personal care, mobility support, and close observation of their health and wellbeing. This position is ideal for someone who is caring, dependable, detail-oriented, and enjoys meaningful work that directly improves the lives of others. You’ll work closely with nurses, therapists, and the interdisciplinary care team in a Participant-centered environment where teamwork, communication, and compassion come first.
Compensation
$17.00 /hr. to start – $18.00 /hr. after 90 days
Mileage Reimbursement: Seventy cents per mile.
Eligible for Frontline Staff Incentive Plan, up to $900 paid quarterly.
Schedule
First shift, full-time hours. Specific work hours will be established in consultation with your supervisor.

Duties And Responsibilities
- Assist Participants with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, oral hygiene, and personal care.
- Support Participant mobility, transfers, repositioning, and ambulation using proper safety techniques and assistive devices.
- Monitor Participant condition and promptly report changes in physical, emotional, or functional status to nursing staff.
- Assist with therapeutic exercises and rehabilitation activities as directed by licensed staff.
- Encourage social engagement and participation in activities and daily routines.
- Prepare and serve meals according to Participant dietary needs and preferences.
- Monitor food and fluid intake as directed.
- Take and document vital signs including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
- Aid with delegated clinical support tasks within CNA scope of practice.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record.
- Follow infection control, PPE, and safety protocols in Participant homes and center settings.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful care environment.
- Communicate effectively with nurses, therapists, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Participate in care planning meetings, training, and quality improvement activities.
- Provide companionship, emotional support, and respectful Participant-centered care.
Qualifications

- CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain after hire — we’ll provide the training!).
- Valid state driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Successful completion of background check, physical, drug screening, and TB screening.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move Participants safely.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and reaching required throughout the workday.
- Must be able to assist Participants with mobility, transfers, and evacuations when necessary.
- May require travel between Participant homes, centers, or training locations.
- Must remain alert to Participant safety needs at all times.
