Responsibilities
- Help patients with personal hygiene and care such as bathing, grooming, dressing and eating
- Take and record patient vital signs and weight
- Observe and record patient’s conditions, food and liquid intake and other behavior, and report changes to supervisor
- Help patients walk with canes, walkers, or other devices
- Makes beds, and maintain clean and safe environments for patients
- Lift, transport, and move patients using the appropriate techniques
- Treat all residents, family, and other visitors with respect, and engage with them in a tactful manner at all times
- Comply with all safety and health regulations
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED
- CNA certification in Wisconsin
- Prior work experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment preferred
- In good physical health and able to lift and move patients, walk or stand for long periods of time and possess physical capability to perform job-related duties
- Compassionate and personable
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize assignments
- Ability to handle emotional and stressful situations in a professional manner
