About the role
The primary responsibility of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is to provide basic patient care under the supervision of registered nurses and other healthcare professionals. Duties include assisting patients with daily activities, monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with personal hygiene and grooming tasks
- Monitor patients' health status and report changes to supervising staff
- Administer prescribed medications according to medical orders
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of patient rooms and living areas
- Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- Valid Wisconsin driver's license
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills
- Physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Knowledge of basic first aid and CPR
