About the Role

A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) plays a vital role in our community, providing total care for residents. You will assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including washing, bathing, dressing, feeding, grooming, walking, transferring, skin care, toileting, oral care, and catheter care. You will perform care as defined by the resident plan of care/CNA assignment card, visit with residents, and reposition them as required.

You will record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and weight, conduct range of motion as needed, and observe and report any changes in condition, attitude, reaction, appetite, and behavior. Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA requirements and facility policies is essential. Your warm demeanor will help you provide excellent customer service and build relationships with residents, families, visitors, and colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, dressing, feeding, and mobility.
  • Perform care according to the resident plan of care and CNA assignment card.
  • Reposition residents as required and conduct range of motion exercises.
  • Record vital signs: temperature, pulse, respiration, and weight.
  • Observe and report changes in residents' condition, attitude, appetite, and behavior.
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations and facility policies.
  • Provide excellent customer service and build relationships with residents, families, and colleagues.

Requirements

  • Completed a state-approved Nurse Aide Training Program.
  • Current Kansas certification/registration to practice as a CNA.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
  • Desire to work with the elderly.
  • Experience in a geriatric nursing facility is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

Pay

$20.00 to $23.50 per hour.

Schedule

  • Full-time position with 12-hour shifts from 7 am - 7 pm.
  • 3-day weekends every other weekend.
  • Never work more than 3 days in a row.
  • 7 days off every 14 days.
  • Average of 2 hours of overtime every week.
