A Day in the Life of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

• Assist with providing activities of daily living (ADLs) to residents
• (including washing, bathing, dressing, feeding, grooming, walking, transferring, skin care, toileting, oral care and catheter care)
• Visit with residents and reposition as required
• Record temperature, pulse, respiration, and weight
• Conduct range of motion as needed
• Observe and report any change in condition, attitude, reaction, appetite, and behavior
• Maintain confidentiality and follow HIPPA requirements
• Uphold facility policies and procedures
• Provide excellent customer service and build relationships with residents, their families, visitors, and colleagues

Qualifications

• Completed a state approved Nurse Aide Training Program
• Current Wisconsin certification/registration to practice
• Current CPR certification
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with all HIPPA regulations
• Desire to work with the elderly
• Experience in a geriatric nursing facility is preferred but not required
• Trustworthy and respectful of others
• Dependable, professional, and a team player
• Enjoy serving and caring for seniors
• Easily establish a good rapport with others and communicate effectively

Pay

The salary range for this position is $19.50 to $24.00 per hour with a $10,000 sign on bonus.

Schedule

These are both full-time and part-time positions, working 8- or 12-hour shifts, days, evening, overnights, and weekends, and must have the ability to work every other weekend.
