A Day in the Life of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
You play a vital role in our community. Without you, we would not be able to fulfill our purpose!
- Assist with providing activities of daily living (ADLs) to residents
- (including washing, bathing, dressing, feeding, grooming, walking, transferring, skin care, toileting, oral care and catheter care)
- Visit with residents and reposition as required
- Record temperature, pulse, respiration, and weight
- Conduct range of motion as needed
- Observe and report any change in condition, attitude, reaction, appetite, and behavior
- Maintain confidentiality and follow HIPPA requirements
- Uphold facility policies and procedures
- Provide excellent customer service and build relationships with residents, their families, visitors, and colleagues
Qualifications
- Completed a state approved Nurse Aide Training Program
- Current Wisconsin certification/registration to practice
- Current CPR certification
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with all HIPPA regulations
- Desire to work with the elderly
- Experience in a geriatric nursing facility is preferred but not required
- Trustworthy and respectful of others
- Dependable, professional, and a team player
- Enjoy serving and caring for seniors
- Easily establish a good rapport with others and communicate effectively

Pay
The salary range for this position is $19.50 to $24.00 per hour with a $10,000 sign on bonus.
Schedule
These are both full-time and part-time positions, working 8- or 12-hour shifts, days, evening, overnights, and weekends, and must have the ability to work every other weekend.
