The Citadel of Glenview is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join their team!
Responsibilities
- Helps patients/residents with comprehensive and personalized health care needs under the supervision of a nurse.
- Aids patients/residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, eating, grooming, toileting, and exercising.
- Assists with daily medication and supplements.
- Ensures proper resident/patient diet based on dietary restrictions.
- Examines patients for open wounds, bruises, or blood in urine.
- Notes and communicates patient/resident behavior and changes in mood.
- Cleans rooms and bed linens.
- Checks and records vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rate under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
- Answers to patient calls and needs.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
- Good collaboration and teamwork skills with the nursing staff.
- Familiarity with symptoms and signs of improvement for a number of medical conditions.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Demonstrates basic computer knowledge and ability with an aptitude to learn company applications.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED.
- State Certified Nursing Assistant License/Certification.
- Must be CPR Certified.
Physical Requirements
- Walking, reaching, bending, lifting, extended sitting, grasping, fine hand coordination, pushing and pulling, ability to distinguish smells and temperatures, all with or without the aid of mechanical devices is required.
- Must be able to push, pull, move and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet.
- May be necessary to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations.
- Meet all health requirements as needed.
