About the role
Under the direction of a licensed nurse, the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) delivers efficient and effective nursing care while achieving positive clinical outcomes and patient/family satisfaction. The CNA performs various patient care activities and related non-professional services essential to caring for personal needs and comfort of patients.
Responsibilities
- Function within the standards of practice as accorded by certification
- Administer simple treatments and provide related bedside patient care services, as permitted by state regulation
- Maintain basic medical asepsis and standard precautions
- Contribute to a patient-centered environment
Qualifications
- Successful completion of a state approved certified nursing assistant program
- Minimum of a high school education or high school equivalency diploma preferred
- New graduates welcome
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Basic knowledge of computer use or willingness to learn
- Compliance with all vaccination and testing requirements as required by state and federal regulations
Skills
- Knowledge of procedures and techniques involved in administering simple treatments and providing related bedside patient care services
- Knowledge of basic medical asepsis and standard precautions
- Willingness to work rotating shifts
- Ability to contribute to a patient-centered environment
