Responsibilities
- Monitor vital signs
- Document care activities
- Report observations to nursing supervisors
- Ensure residents' privacy and dignity
- Adhere to HIPAA guidelines, professional standards, and regulatory requirements
- Contribute to a safe and supportive environment
- Participate in educational opportunities to maintain certification
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- An active Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.) License or Certification in good standing
- A High School Diploma or GED
- Willingness to take additional training or education, which specific states may require
- CPR and First Aid certifications are required
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable while handling multiple priorities
- Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication
- Competent in organizational and time management skills
- Demonstrate good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Physical Demands
- Sit, stand, bend and walk regularly
- Lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
- Visual and auditory ability sufficient for written and verbal communication
- Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
