What You’ll Do

  • Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Absorb, document, and report changes in resident condition and care provided.
  • Support restorative nursing and therapy activities as directed.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and homelike environment for residents.
  • Report accidents, incidents, or concerns involving residents, staff, or visitors.
  • Work collaboratively with nursing staff and interdisciplinary team members.
  • Follow all safety procedures, including proper lifting techniques and use of required safety equipment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be 16 years of age or older.
  • Valid CNA certification in the state of employment.
  • Previous experience in skilled nursing or long-term care preferred, but not required.

Safety Expectations

  • Adhere to all safety protocols, including two-person lifts and use of mechanical lift equipment.
  • Utilize required PPE to prevent exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
  • Report work-related injuries promptly and complete required documentation.
