About the role

Work an 8-hour shift (6:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Monday through Friday) providing personal care to residents, assisting the charge nurse, and delivering exceptional service in a supportive, mission-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care to residents in a manner conducive to their safety and comfort, consistent with community policy.
• Promote and support the greatest possible degree of independence for residents.
• Advise supervising charge nurse of resident’s status at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Contribute knowledge of resident’s conditions and needs to resident care plans.
• Assist in the implementation of care plans as directed within established policy and procedure.
• Observe and report on residents’ conditions, documenting observations as required.
• Comply with procedures for safe lifting and/or safe transfer of residents per established policies.
• Perform moderate to heavy lifting as needed.
• Ensure equipment is clean and functional.
• Perform incidental housekeeping or maintenance tasks to maintain a clean, hazard-free environment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• State certification as a nursing assistant.
• Complete familiarity with the duties of a certified nursing assistant.
• Highly developed observation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Pay
