About the role
Oak Park Care Center seeks compassionate and thoughtful Certified Nurse Assistants (CNAs) to join our dedicated team. We partner with skilled nursing centers to support a small, caring professional environment within a larger enterprise.
Responsibilities
- Answers signal lights and bells to determine resident needs
- Assists residents with grooming, oral hygiene, bathing, hair, and incontinence care
- Obtains food trays and assists residents with feeding
- Aids resident with range of motion exercises
- Moves residents to wheelchair or activity areas
- Takes and records temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates, and food and fluid intake and output, as directed
- Provides direct and indirect resident care services
- Maintains communication with residents and their families, and facility staff
- Communicates changes in residents' clinical conditions to the nursing team
- Performs other tasks as assigned
Requirements
- CNA Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Must pass a state-issued exam
- CNA Licenses: Required - Valid certification as a CNA in the state of Missouri
- Six months experience in a long-term care environment preferred
