Certified Nursing Assistant

Location: Mount Olive, WV 25185

Schedule

Full‑time day shift – 4 × 10‑hour days per week, 8 am – 6 pm.

Position Summary

As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at our facility, you'll support nursing staff with essential daily operations and provide direct care that ensures patient well‑being. Working under the clinical supervision of the Director of Nursing, you will assist with activities of daily living, vital signs, mobility, and more.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, feeding, dressing, and hygiene.
• Obtain and record vital signs, height, weight, fluid intake, and output.
• Support ambulation, repositioning, and range‑of‑motion activities.
• Assist with wheelchair transfers, stretchers, and patient mobility.
• Provide emotional support and respond promptly to call lights.
• Clean and maintain patient areas, workrooms, and equipment.
• Assist physicians or nurses during minor procedures and treatments.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain supply inventory.
• Encourage hydration and elimination as part of daily patient care.
• Document care activities accurately in the electronic medical record system.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of a Nursing Assistant certification program.
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
• Current CPR certification.
• Previous CNA experience preferred (correctional healthcare experience a plus).
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
