Responsibilities
- Assists patients with activities of daily living, providing basic nursing care under the direction of the Nursing Team Leader or RN.
- Implements directions from nursing staff and physicians, assisting with tasks such as vital signs, positioning, and transporting patients.
- Greets and escorts patients to their rooms, introducing them to their roommates and staff, and ensuring they are comfortable.
- Prepares patient rooms for admission, packs patient belongings upon discharge, and transports patients to and from vehicles.
- Cleans patient rooms after discharge and reports any changes in the patient's condition to the RN in charge.
- Aids in patient care, ensuring patient safety and reducing the likelihood of medical errors.
- Communicates effectively with all healthcare team members, providing care appropriate to the patient's condition and age.
- Treats patients and their families with respect and dignity, addressing their psychosocial, cultural, ethnic, and religious/spiritual needs.
- Maintains good working relationships within the department and with other departments, demonstrating flexibility and organization under stress.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED, preferred.
- Current unrestricted Wyoming Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) License required.
- BLS certification required.
- Minimum six months' related work experience.
