About the role
We are a 252-bed Skilled Long Term Care Nursing Facility providing care to the Veterans in our Community. This is a permanent, non-competitive, full-time appointment.
Responsibilities
- bathing
- dressing
- feeding
- general hygiene
- transferring residents
- care of ostomies
- colostomy & ileostomy
- maintenance of individual range of motion to prevent contractures
- recognizing and reporting abnormal signs and symptoms of common conditions/diseases
- measuring and recording fluid intake
- assisting the health care team in treatments and observations
- all aspects of daily living care
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Current New York Certification as a Nursing Assistant.
Reassignment: Current New York State Department of Health Veterans Home at Montrose employee with permanent or contingent permanent status as a Nursing Assistant Certified, Grade 8.
