We are currently seeking an experienced Certified Nurse's Aide to join our Health Center team. Responsibilities

Essential job duties include supporting and nurturing resident’s physical and mental health, bathing residents as scheduled, recording medication and personal care given, and reporting relevant changes to the Charge Nurse.

  • Records medication and personal care given on the Daily Care Record
  • Utilizes and submits charge sheets on a daily basis
  • Makes resident round with off-going shift as well as hourly, ensuring residents are clean, comfortable, and ascertaining overall condition
  • Lifts, turns, and transfers residents when needed, utilizing proper safety equipment
  • Passes out fresh ice water to each resident
  • Assists residents in feeding and making sure food is appropriately portioned for the resident
  • Clears dishes from tables during and after meal service
  • Maintains safe and sanitary conditions in dining area
  • Attends server training sessions on proper procedures for serving meals
  • Attends in-service training and education sessions as assigned

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must hold current Nursing Assistant Certification in Texas or possess written documentation from the state examiner that requirements for such were met.

  • Successfully completes competency evaluation requirements under state guidelines
  • Completed and been certified in Basic Cardiac Life Support (CPR-Healthcare Provider) preferred
  • Has effective communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to promote a courteous, calm atmosphere
  • Able to assist the licensed staff nurse, as well as the charge nurse to fulfill management functions
  • Able to work cooperatively with other healthcare professionals and other departments within the system
  • Possesses knowledge of and implements infection control and universal precaution practices
  • Able to interpret and explain menu, refer or answer questions, coordinate meal service process and understands requests
  • Able to lift up to and over 100 lbs., move, and transfer resident as needed

Pay and Schedule

The hourly rate for this role is $13.50-$16.00, with differential pay and overtime pay available. The schedule consists of 11 hour shifts, with a bi-weekly rotation: Week 1: Mon, Tues, Fri, Sat, and Week 2: Sun, Wed, Thurs.
