About The Role

As a Certified Nurses Aide (CNA), you’ll play a vital role in delivering compassionate, hands-on care to patients under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. Your primary responsibility will be to provide non-invasive bedside support, ensuring the comfort, dignity, and safety of every patient you serve. This role is essential to maintaining a healing environment and upholding our organization’s core values in every interaction.

This position is ideal for a dedicated caregiver who thrives in a fast-paced inpatient hospital setting. You’ll be part of a collaborative team focused on patient-centered care, with opportunities to make a meaningful impact every day.

Position Highlights

  • Caseload: ~7 patients
  • Average Patient Length of Stay: 10–14 days
  • Conditions: Stroke, brain & spinal cord injuries, cardiac, ortho, complex medical, and more
  • Team Approach: Work closely with PT/OT/ST, physicians, case managers, respiratory therapy & more
  • Deliver basic patient care: bathing, toileting, feeding, grooming
  • 12-hour shifts, 3 days/week + rotating weekends/holidays (with added pay)

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED (preferred)
  • Current state CNA certification (State of TX)
  • CPR required | ACLS & BLS preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in inpatient hospital setting (rehab experience preferred)

Physical Requirements Over The Course Of a Shift

  • A significant amount of standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, and pulling, often for prolonged periods
  • Both gross and precise motor functions
  • Lifting/exerting of up to 50 lbs
  • Possible exposure to bodily fluids
  • Visual acuity required for patient assessment and documentation of care
  • Acute hearing required for accurate patient assessment
  • Sufficient manual dexterity to operate equipment and computer keyboard
  • Close vision and the ability to adjust focus
