Clinical Service

• Assist in the delivery of medical services to patients seen in the clinic, seen for consultation or scheduled for procedures under medical direction and supervision of full-time collaborating physician(s).
• Manage individual patient care including:
• Perform health status assessment by obtaining medical history and performing physical examination.
• Order and interpret diagnostic studies.
• Develop and implement treatment plan.
• Perform other diagnostic, therapeutic or corrective measures as necessary.
• Schedule patients for procedures and follow-up patients after procedure.
• Provide patient education and counseling to patients and their families.
• Communicate with the physicians, providing a summary of the clinical data and discussing further evaluation and therapy patients as needed.
• Communicate with referring physicians regarding patient care issues after consultations and procedures.
• Maintain complete and accurate records of all care provided.
• Submit billing information.
• Assist in quality assurance audits and responses.

Qualifications

• Nurse Practitioner licensed in the State of Illinois
• Passage of the national certifying exam
• Minimum 2 Years Clinical Experience Required
• Sensitive to the needs of underrepresented minority populations.

Desirable Qualifications

• Endocrinology experience preferred
• Clinical Experience Preferred
• Research experience/interest preferred
