ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Provide comprehensive healthcare to patients through assessment, diagnosis, management and evaluation of care, inclusive of the Collaborative Practice Agreement.
- Consult with other members of the healthcare team to coordinate care and/or make referrals to other members of the healthcare team.
- Complete an accurate, orderly chart entry at each contact with a patient at the Health Center.
- Provide professional program direction for the entire staff in collaboration with the Clinical Chief, Chief Medical Officer, Nurse Manager including but not limited to staff meetings and in-service education.
- Participate in weekly after-hours telephone schedule.
- Assist in the development of clinical programs, treatment protocols, departmental policies and the implementation for such in order to enhance standardized methods of performing medical and nursing procedures.
- Participate in general orientation of all newly employed staff.
- Ensures compliance with all applicable HIPAA, JCAHO, OSHA, Local, State and Federal initiatives and requirements.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- Education or Formal Training: A minimum of Master’s degree from an accredited College or University is required. Graduate of a certified US Nurse Midwifery school.
- Licenses, Certifications or Registrations: RN License in State of NJ, CNM License with prescriptive privilege in State of NJ, valid CNM certification from the American Midwifery Certification Board, BLS /CPR certification from the American Heart Association, CDS and DEA licenses.
- Minimum of 3-5 years Nursing experience with 2 years in ambulatory care/and or similar environment.
- Ability to make sound decisions and to establish and maintain effective working relationship with staff associates and the general public.
