Certified Nurse Midwife
About the role
The successful candidate will join the regional Women’s Health practice serving our coastal Maine communities. They will work alongside great support staff and seasoned providers.
Responsibilities
- Pregnancy care
- Conceptual and infertility counseling
- Care during and after pregnancy
- Gynecologic care including treatment for abnormal bleeding, fibroids, endometriosis
- Family planning services including birth control counseling and prescriptions
- Preventive care including annual physical exams, screening for breast and cervical cancer, screening and treatment for sexually transmitted infections, and breast care
- Services for menstrual problems, perimenopause, and menopause treatment
- Breastfeeding support
- Incontinence treatment
- Sexual health counseling
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
- Successful completion of a nurse midwifery program accredited by the ACNM
- Active State of Maine Nursing License for RN and APRN-CNM Certification by ACNM
- Active DEA License
- Current BLS certification
- At least 2 years of experience required

Skills
Strong communication skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and proficiency with medical software like Epic EMR.
