Certified Nurse Midwife
About the role
MaineHealth - Pen Bay and Waldo Hospital is seeking a Certified Nurse Midwife to join the regional Women’s Health practice serving coastal Maine communities. The successful candidate will work alongside great support staff and seasoned providers, finding supportive, collaborative colleagues, strong patient/provider relationships, comprehensive resources, and advanced technologies, including a fully integrated Epic EMR.
Responsibilities
The regional Women’s Health office provides a range of services, including pregnancy care, conceptual and infertility counseling, care during and after pregnancy, gynecologic care such as treatment for abnormal bleeding, fibroids, and endometriosis. The team also provides family planning services, including birth control counseling and prescriptions, preventive care, including annual physical exams, screening for breast and cervical cancer, screening and treatment for sexually transmitted infections, and breast care. Additional services include care for menstrual problems, perimenopause and menopause treatment, breastfeeding support, incontinence treatment, and sexual health counseling.
Qualifications
- BSN/MSN and successful completion of a nurse midwifery program accredited by the ACNM
- Active State of Maine Nursing License for RN and APRN-CNM Certification by ACNM
- Active DEA License
- Current BLS certification
- At least 2 years of experience required

Coastal, Maine, is a scenic coastal community in the heart of a four-season recreation area, surrounded by lakes and the ocean.
