About the role

The certified nurse midwife assumes management responsibility of a caseload of obstetrical and gynecological patients selected according to midwifery practice protocols. This position assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care of patients, and supports and promotes a positive image of midwifery, obstetrical care and Olympic Medical Center.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care of obstetrical and gynecological patients
  • Manage a caseload of patients according to midwifery practice protocols
  • Support and promote a positive image of midwifery and obstetrical care at Olympic Medical Center

Requirements

  • Graduate of a Nurse Midwifery program and certified by WA State OR Master of Science in Nursing, Masters of Nursing, or equivalent Nurse Practitioner Degree
  • Two years of experience in nurse midwifery preferred
  • Antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and well woman care experience preferred
  • C-section first assist experience preferred

Qualifications

  • Current Washington State RN Licensure and current Washington State ARNP with prescriptive authority in Washington State OR Current Washington State PA-C Licensure and prescriptive authority
  • Current DEA registration required
  • BLS Certification required within 30 days of hire
  • Maintains appropriate privileges and membership on the OMC Medical Staff
  • Maintains appropriate Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits per Washington State and OMC Medical Staff requirements

Pay

$116,168.00 - $189,550.40 per year
