About the role

This position provides personal hygiene, mobility, safety, and comfort to Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric patients as directed by the professional nurse. The incumbent must be knowledgeable of specific equipment used in the area of employment.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate proficiency in body mechanics, fire safety, infection control, patient safety, CPR, and safe handling of hazardous materials.
• Communicate effectively with diverse types of people.
• Maintain accuracy and respond to requests from different people simultaneously.
• Assist in procedures to facilitate proper documentation of patient care from pre-admission to discharge.
• Schedule diagnostic tests and treatments without conflict.
• Maintain unit supplies and interdepartmental communication.

Requirements

• Valid CA or NV Driver's license and ability to pass Renown Health's Department of Motor Vehicle Report criteria.
• Current auto insurance.
• AHA BLS certification.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a State of Nevada CNA certification.

Qualifications

• Working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Six months CNA experience preferred.
