About the role

MTC operates the New Orleans Point Job Corps Center in New Orleans, LA, where staff provide quality services to local youth. The position involves academic and career‑technical trade instruction, guiding students toward their academic and trade goals.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic and career‑technical trade instruction per approved curricula.
• Offer training, basic guidance, and direction to help students achieve academic and trade goals.
• Provide students with direction, instruction, and assistance in designated areas of instruction.
• Motivate and counsel students on behavior, training, personal problems, or study habits.
• Coordinate with counselors and staff to resolve issues affecting student training and/or instruction.
• Develop and prepare lessons in accordance with approved curriculum guidelines; recommend curriculum changes and supplemental materials.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe training environment.
• Participate in student assessment panels and complete required documentation and evaluation using the Center Information System (CIS) and other systems.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent and experience in the area of instruction.
• Preferred RN or LPN licensure (CNA license acceptable).
• Experience instructing or supervising in a professional environment.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
