Certified Nurse Assistant (C NA) | Part Time

About the role

The Certified Nursing Assistant works under direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. The CNA performs multi-skilled duties within the limits of training and certification in caring for the patient.

Responsibilities

• Affords assistance to the nursing team with a variety of patient care activities and related services necessary in caring for the personal needs, comfort, and safety of patients.
• Affords assistance to patients with personal hygiene, dressing, walking.
• Changes bed linens and affords assistance with patient transportation to tests and procedures.
• Serves and collects food trays and provides patients with between-meal nourishment.
• Records temperature or vital signs under the direction of a nurse.

Requirements

Minimum Education: A high school diploma or GED required. At least one year of patient care experience in a health care facility or as CNA is preferred.

Qualifications

• Currently registered as a Certified Nurse Assistant in South Carolina;
• Must be current in the Nurse Aide Registry;
• Will be required to maintain American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS).
