About the role

The Nursing Assistant assists in patient care throughout nursing areas, safely transports patients via wheelchair or stretcher, dispatches services, and documents services appropriately. They also provide constant observation for patients requiring it, facilitating their safety. Additionally, they perform general receptionist and clerical duties to support the efficient operation of the nursing unit.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred
• Previous hospital experience preferred
• Certified Nurse Aide in Kentucky required
• Ability to communicate effectively and document information accurately
• Deal efficiently and effectively with a wide variety of individuals
• Basic computer knowledge preferred
• Ability to move or lift patients and equipment
• Ability to work independently within general guidelines
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and written
