Provide Compassionate Care and Support to Residents
Responsibilities
- Provide Personal Care: Assist with grooming, bathing, catheter care, pericare, and dressing, following care policy guidelines
- Maintain Resident Environment: Change linens and ensure grooming supplies are stocked
- Support Mobility: Safely ambulate and transfer residents using assistive devices and proper body mechanics
- Record Vital Information: Accurately document vitals, weights, intake/output, and meal consumption
- Assist with Positioning: Turn and reposition residents routinely for comfort and safety
- Encourage Engagement: Lead range of motion exercises and provide reality orientation as directed
Requirements
- Holds a current Nursing Assistant Certification from the State of Texas
- Can accurately record information and perform technical procedures
- Communicates well and demonstrates self-discipline and patience
- Genuinely cares for the elderly and individuals with disabilities
- Understands and upholds the Patient Bill of Rights and Employee Responsibilities
- Follows all safety policies and procedures
