Certified Nurse Aide CNA
About the role
Under the supervision of an RN or LPN, performs basic patient care activities in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Reports to the Director or Manager of the Department.
Responsibilities
- Performs basic patient care activities in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
- Serves patients in neonate, infant, early childhood, late childhood, adolescent, young adult, middle adult, older adult populations.
- Accesses demographic, clinical, insurance, financial, and complete medical record information.
- Exposes to occupational risks including bloodborne pathogens, biological and chemical hazards, and hazardous medications.
- Engages in frequent standing, walking, lifting/moving patients, and repetitive hand/arm movements.
- Displays knowledge, skills, and abilities relevant to the Certified Nursing Assistant role.
Requirements
- High school diploma preferred.
- Certified Nursing Assistant in state of practice.
- BLS certification required.
- Handle with Care preferred.
Qualifications
Education: High School diploma preferred.
Licenses/Certifications: Certified Nursing Assistant in state of practice; BLS required; Handle with Care preferred.
