Certified NDT UT Level II Inspector

Unitek Technical Services provides supplier management, development, and related technical services to corporations around the world.

Responsibilities

• Manufacturing process and ultrasonic inspection of aerospace graphite composite solid laminate and sandwich honeycomb core structures
• Operating manual and automated inspection equipment, including immersion and robotic equipment
• Operating UT A/B/C scan systems
• Identifying defects in complex engineering drawings and parts

Requirements

• NAS410 or ASNT SNT-TC-1A Certification for NDT UT Level II
• Completion of NDT UT Level I & II Training Course (40 hours each)
• Minimum 800 hours logged supporting NDT UT Level II
• Current with specifications, standards, methodologies, techniques, and core principles
• Passed general, specific, and practical UT exams
• Valid eye exam
• Computer skills

Schedule

• First, second, or third shifts
• 40 hours per week with daily overtime, including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays as required
• Start date: Immediately upon customer approval
• Duration: 3 months plus
• Location: Kinston, NC 28504

Pay

• Rates: Negotiable
• Per diem: $130.00 per day
• Round-trip travel time to and from NC: Flat $200.00
• Round-trip mileage to and from NC: GSA rate (only utilizing personally owned vehicle)
• Airfare or car rental paid
• Paid trip home every 2 months
