Certified Medication Tech CMT - FT/PT 1st & 2nd Shift

About the role

Join Benchmark Senior Living as a compassionate Certified Medication Technician (CMT). Deliver care to residents within a warm, comfortable, and home-like environment.

Responsibilities

• Communicate questions, concerns, and/or discrepancies related to medication administration to the Resident Care Director (RCD).
• Communicate any significant change of mental or physical status of resident to RCD.
• Document supervision of self-administration in MAR.
• Document and notify RCD of administration of prn meds, including their effect.
• Recognize and assist in the prevention of elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation.

Requirements

• State Medication Technician License and competency in drug administration per state-approved protocol.
• Successfully complete medication technician competency review (supervised by RN/RCD) quarterly.
• CPR certification required or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
• Complete a state-approved training course in drug administration with a certificate of satisfactory completion.
• Quarterly competency evaluations by the RCD.
• Current certification as a nursing assistant or completion of a certified home health aide or homemaker/personal care homemaker training program.
• High School education preferred.
