Certified Medication Assistant - Assisted Living (Night Shift)

Role Overview The Medication Assistant (MA) provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under supervision, ensuring age-appropriate physical and psychological support. Key Responsibilities Assist residents with activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, transferring, and range of motion exercises.Administer prescribed medications within scope of practice and document care outcomes.Monitor and record vital signs, collect non-invasive specimens, and communicate changes to the charge nurse.Support residents with meals, snacks, hydration, and recreational activities to promote well-being.Maintain cleanliness through housekeeping and laundry services.Assist with psycho-social support and encourage participation in wellness programs. Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or GED preferred; minimum age 18 preferred.Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience is preferred.Complete annual competency testing and continuing education (minimum 12 hours/year).Maintain required certifications, such as CNA and medication aide, per state regulations.Strong communication, attention to detail, and compassionate care skills.
