Certified Medication Aide Double Weekends and PRN

About the role

Victorian Estates in Yukon, OK has opportunities for full-time Certified Medication Aides to join our team. As the Certified Medication Aide, you will administer oral and topical medications to residents. These tasks are performed as ordered by a physician, under the supervision of a licensed nurse, in accordance with state and federal rules and regulations, and consistent with facility policies. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team recognized for their achievements and contributions.

Responsibilities

• Administer medication as ordered by a physician under the supervision of a licensed nurse, in accordance with any state and federal regulations and consistent with facility policy.
• Demonstrate knowledge of the “five rights” of medication administration.
• Record the administration of medications and/or treatments appropriately.
• Observe for and report any reactions and/or side effects of medications to a licensed nurse on the appropriate shift.
• Administer PRN medications in accordance with state and federal regulations and consistent with facility policy.

Qualifications

• State certification as a Nurse Aide is required.
• State certification as an Advanced Medication Aide is a plus.
• State approved medication administration certification.
• Complete familiarity with duties of a certified nurse aide.
• Highly developed observation skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Schedule

• Double Weekends: 6 am to 2 pm
• Double Weekends: 2 pm to 10 pm
• PRN
