Certified Medication Aide Double Weekend

Full-time, weekend-only schedule: 6 AM – 10 PM, Saturday & Sunday.

About the role

Certified Medication Aide (CMA) works under the direct supervision of the charge nurse. The charge nurse follows up with the CMA to ensure the medication pass is completed timely and accurately, maintaining the highest degree of quality resident care at all times.

Responsibilities

• Participate in shift report.
• Perform routine patient care in accordance with federal, state, company, and center nursing policies and procedures.
• Employ preventative and restorative measures.
• Follow hand-washing techniques and other infection-control guidelines during patient care.
• Report promptly any change of patient condition or other concerns to the Patient Care Supervisor.
• Follow charting guidelines for PRN documentation.
• Report medication reorders and related administrative tasks.
• Participate in all assigned meetings, training, education, or in-service as required.
• Inventory drugs on designated forms as they arrive.

Requirements

• Current certification for Medication Aide.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English through both speech and writing.
• Previous patient care experience preferred.
