Responsibilities

• Record vital signs
• Administer medications
• Complete treatments as prescribed by the health care provider
• Observe and report responses in accordance with state and federal guidelines
• Provide daily nursing care to residents as directed by their personal care plan

Requirements

• Certified Medication Aide (CMA) certification in a skilled nursing facility
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in a skilled nursing facility
• Note: Medication Aide certification is different from Medication Technician certification
