Certified Medication Aide (CMA) Double Weekend

Certified Medication Aides (CMA) are needed for full‑time, double‑weekend positions at The Plaza at Lubbock in Lubbock, TX. In this role you will administer oral and topical medications to residents as ordered by a physician, under the supervision of a licensed nurse, and in compliance with state and federal regulations and facility policies. You will join a multi‑disciplinary team recognized for its achievements and contribute to the mission of providing superior clinical care, rehabilitation, wellness, and supportive services that meet the wants, needs, and expectations of patients and residents.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer medication as ordered by a physician under the supervision of a licensed nurse, adhering to state and federal regulations and facility policy.
• Demonstrate knowledge of the “five rights” of medication administration.
• Record the administration of medications and/or treatments accurately.
• Observe for and report any reactions or side effects of medications to the licensed nurse on the appropriate shift.
• Administer PRN medications in accordance with state and federal regulations and facility policy.

Qualifications

• State certification as a nurse aide.
• State‑approved medication administration certification.
• Complete familiarity with the duties of a certified nurse aide.
• Highly developed observation skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
