Certified Medication Aide (CMA)

About the role

As a Certified Medication Assistant (CMA), you will work closely with our nursing staff to provide high-quality care and support to our residents. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Administering medications to residents as ordered by physicians
• Assisting with vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and oxygen saturation
• Providing personalized care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of resident care
• Collaborating with nursing staff to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Maintaining a safe and clean environment for our residents

Responsibilities

• Administer medications to residents in accordance with federal and state regulations
• Document medications administered and monitor resident response
• Assist with vital signs and report any changes to nursing staff
• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents
• Maintain a positive and respectful attitude towards residents, families, and staff
• Perform other duties as assigned by the nursing staff

Requirements

• Current certification as a Certified Medication Assistant (CMA)
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Prior experience in a healthcare setting preferred
