Key Responsibilities

  • Safely prepare, administer, and document medications as prescribed
  • Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly report concerns to the nursing team
  • Absorb residents with activities of daily living, including grooming, mobility, and meals
  • Build positive, respectful relationships with residents and their families
  • Maintain accurate medication administration records
  • Ensure compliance with all state regulations and facility policies
  • Support nursing staff with additional duties to promote high-quality resident care

Qualifications

  • Completion of a state-approved Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program
  • Successful completion of a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) course in accordance with Iowa state requirements
  • Previous long-term care experience preferred
  • Certified Medication Aide (CMA) course in accordance with Iowa state requirements
