Key Responsibilities
- Safely prepare, administer, and document medications as prescribed
- Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly report concerns to the nursing team
- Absorb residents with activities of daily living, including grooming, mobility, and meals
- Build positive, respectful relationships with residents and their families
- Maintain accurate medication administration records
- Ensure compliance with all state regulations and facility policies
- Support nursing staff with additional duties to promote high-quality resident care
Qualifications
- Completion of a state-approved Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program
- Successful completion of a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) course in accordance with Iowa state requirements
- Previous long-term care experience preferred
- Certified Medication Aide (CMA) course in accordance with Iowa state requirements
