Job Summary: Laurel Health and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Certified Medication Aide/ Medication Tech/ Med Tech to administer prescribed medications to residents and maintains related medical records under supervision of the Nurse. Now offering an updated pay range.

Location: Laurel Health and Rehabilitation Center, 820 3rd Avenue, Laurel, MT 59044, USA.

Responsibilities

• Verifies identity of resident receiving medication and records name of drug, dosage, and time of administration on specified forms.
• Presents medication to resident and observes ingestion or other application, or administers medication, using specified processes.
• Takes vital signs or observes resident to detect response to specified types of medications and prepares report.
• Documents reasons prescribed drugs are not administered.
• Receive supply of ordered medications and apportion, mix, or assemble drugs for administration to resident.
• Record and restock medication inventories.

Requirements

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state of employment.
• Certified Nursing Assistant for one year.
• Successful completion of training approved by the State for Certified Medication Assistants.
• Must hold current Medication Aide ll certification in the state of Montana.

Skills

• Ability to understand, plan, and carry out care plans and treatments.
