About the role
The Certified Medication Aide (CMA) plays a vital part in supporting residents' health, comfort, and quality of life by ensuring medications are administered safely and accurately, monitoring residents for medication responses, and assisting with daily activities.
Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed medications under the supervision of licensed nursing staff
- Verify resident identity prior to medication administration and document dosage, time, and observations
- Maintain accurate documentation related to resident care, intake, and output as ordered
- Assist with admission, discharge, and transfer documentation as required
- Support team members by providing assistance as needed
- Perform light housekeeping duties, including cleaning resident rooms and common areas
- Answer phones, greet visitors, and assist with tours as requested
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Completion of a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) program that meets state requirements
- Active CMA certification in good standing

Skills & Abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary care team
- Physical Demands: Lift up to 25 lbs., push/pull up to 100 lbs., maneuver resident wheelchairs weighing up to 350 lbs.
- Safety Requirements: Follow proper resident care procedures, utilize required PPE, report work-related injuries, participate in company drug testing procedures
