Certified Medication Aide

About the role

The Certified Medication Aide works under the direct supervision of the charge nurse, who ensures the medication pass is completed timely and accurately to maintain the highest degree of quality resident care.

Responsibilities

• Report promptly any change of patient condition or other concerns to the Patient Care Supervisor.
• Follow charting guidelines for PRN documentation.
• Report medication reorders.
• Participate in all assigned meetings, trainings, education, and in-service as required.
• Maintain inventory documentation of drugs on appropriate forms.
• Maintain current certification for Medication Aide.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate effectively in English through both speech and writing.
• Current certification for Medication Aide.

Qualifications

Previous patient care experience preferred.
