Responsibilities
- Set up and administer resident medications as ordered by physicians and per professional standards of medication administration.
- Supervise Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) as directed.
- Provide patients’ personal hygiene by giving bedpans, urinals, baths, backrubs, shampoos, and shaves; assisting with travel to the bathroom; helping with showers and baths.
- Maintain activities of daily living by assisting with serving meals, feeding patients as necessary; ambulating, turning, and positioning patients; providing fresh water and nourishment between meals.
- Maintain patient stability by checking vital signs and weight; testing urine; recording intake and output information.
Requirements
- Licensed in GA as a Medication Aide.
- Maintain current and unencumbered licensure.
Qualifications
- Must be able to pass a background check.
Skills
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to follow medical protocols.
