Responsibilities
- Participate in Shift Report.
- Perform routine patient care in accordance with Federal, State, Company and Center nursing policies and procedures.
- Employ preventative and restorative measures.
- Follow hand washing techniques and other infection control guidelines during the performance of patient care.
- Report promptly any change of patient condition or other concerns to Patient Care Supervisor.
- Follow charting guidelines for PRN documentation.
- Report medication reorder, etc.
- Participate in all assigned meetings.
- Participate in all training, education or in-service as required.
- Inventory drugs, on the designated forms, as they arrive.
Requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively in English through both speech and writing.
- Previous patient care experience preferred.
- Current certification for Medication Aide.

Under the direct supervision of the charge nurse, the charge nurse will follow up with the CMA to ensure the med pass is completed timely and accurately to assure that the highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.
