Certified Medication Aide

About the Role

Administers prescribed medications and treatments as defined by state regulations to residents and maintains related medical records under the supervision of a Nurse Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved techniques and notes time and amount on resident’s chart.
• Verifies identity of resident receiving medication and records name of drug, dosage, and time of administration on specified forms and records.
• Presents medication to residents and observes ingestion or other application, or administers medication, using specified procedures.
• Performs any miscellaneous work assignments as may be required.

Qualifications

• Certified as required by state law.
• Previous experience in long-term care preferred.

Schedule

Thursday–Sunday, 8-hour or 10-hour shifts.
