About the role
Claiborne Senior Living is hiring Medication Technicians / Certified Medication Aides (Med Techs / CMAs) to safely administer medications and support resident care in our senior living community.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications in accordance with physician orders, state regulations, and community policy
- Follow the “Six Rights” of medication administration and proper documentation standards
- Monitor residents for medication effectiveness and side effects
- Report changes in condition or concerns to nursing leadership
- Maintain accurate medication records and controlled substance counts
- Support residents with activities of daily living as needed
- Adhere to infection control, safety, and regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Active CMA or Medication Technician certification (state requirements apply)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in senior living, assisted living, or healthcare preferred
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Reliable, focused, and able to work independently and as part of a team
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
