About the Role
Administers prescribed medications and treatments to residents as defined by state regulations and maintains related medical records under the supervision of a Nurse Supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved techniques and notes time and amount on resident’s chart.
- Verifies identity of resident receiving medication and records name of drug, dosage, and time of administration on specified forms.
- Presents medication to residents and observes ingestion or other application, or administers medication using specified procedures.
Requirements
- Certified as required by state law.
- Previous experience in long-term care preferred.
