About the role
Assess patient needs through history, observation, and analysis of diagnostic data. Perform direct patient care, prepare patients for examinations, conduct specialized tests and procedures, administer medications, provide patient education, schedule appointments, and handle telephone consultations.
Responsibilities
- Avoids delays and errors in patient care by following established protocols and procedures.
- Ensures clean and well-equipped examination rooms by managing medical supplies and contributing to departmental QA projects.
- Contributes to a positive practice environment through continuous learning and teamwork.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED equivalent from an accredited school.
- At least one year experience in a physician’s office or other clinical setting.
- Registered or State Certified as a Medical Assistant with an accrediting board.
