Certified Medical Assistant (Urgent Care)

This is a fast-paced, direct clinical role requiring candidates who are confident in independent clinical procedures, including phlebotomy, injections, and EKG setup from day one. Requirements

• Minimum 1+ years of active, paid experience as a hands-on Medical Assistant in Urgent Care, Emergency, or High-Volume Outpatient settings (externship hours alone do not qualify)
• Demonstrated proficiency in venipuncture/phlebotomy, administering intramuscular injections, and running 12-lead EKGs
• Active Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, CCMA, RMA, or NCMA) OR graduate of an accredited MA program
• Current CPR / BLS Certification

Responsibilities

• Phlebotomy & Lab: Perform routine venipuncture/blood draws, run point-of-care lab tests (Rapid Flu, Strep, Pregnancy), and prepare urine/specimens for external lab send-outs
• Clinical Testing & Procedures: Conduct 12-lead EKGs, administer vaccines and intramuscular medications, and prep sterile trays for suturing assistance
• Patient Intake: Manage patient intake in EMR systems, obtain accurate medical histories, and record vital signs efficiently
• Provider Support: Assist physicians and Nurse Practitioners during clinical exams and maintain strict infection control protocols across exam rooms

Pay

Competitive base rate: $18.00 – $21.00/hr (commensurate with clinical experience).
