Certified Medical Assistant - Tarboro Clinic Walk in Immediate Care

Responsibilities

• Coordinates clinic operations
• Assists providers by performing vital signs
• Handles patient questionnaire intake
• Performs data entry
• Manages medical records
• Assists with and provides patient care services
• Provides customer services as necessary
• Maintains all patient care related documentation in hard copy and/or electronic medical records
• Demonstrates skill in clinical duties such as vitals, health history and other clinical duties as directed by clinicians
• Possesses time management skills
• Manages and performs multiple tasks
• Assists patients and providers as necessary

Requirements

• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• High school diploma, equivalent or higher required
• One of the following certifications required:
  • Certified Medical Assistant through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
  • Registered Medical Assistant through the American Medical Technologists (AMT)
  • Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) through the National Healthcare Career Association (NHA)
• Either 2 years of experience or graduation from an in‑person formal training program

Qualifications

• Preferred one or more years experience in a clinical or medical office setting

Pay

Pay Range $18.00 - $24.74

Schedule

• Shifts: Between 8am‑5pm, Monday‑Friday
• No weekend or on‑call work
